Halloween Event

As the seasons turn, the brine starts to shift in strange ways...

"Heheheheh... you know what time of year it is..."

Welcome one and all to the annual halloween event! As per usual, we're going to be hunting for the strange, suspiciously head-shaped fruits that seem to sprout all over the brine this time of year.

Foraging

The aim of this event is to send your phonies out exploring in the briny woods. You may notice that we don't have such a biome as part of our typical roster. That's because, this time, the brine has decided, for reasons unknown, to start invading the forests of Confibula! Phonies everywhere are perplexed and intrigued to find the fuzzy red matting of the brine carpeting the forest floors and growing up into the trees.

Event forages will uncover various amounts of Festive Gourds, which Mr. Stripes will gladly take off your hands in return for exclusive items, and they'll also have the chance to encounter Zombies, phony skeletons which have been reanimated by the twitching fibers of the brine. They're almost universally hostile, but they do drop nice loot if you can defeat them.

All event forages must:

  • Be set in the Briny Woods biome and have a background with enough detail for this to be obvious
  • Include at least one Festive Gourd somewhere in the background
  • Be fullbody, colored, and not traced, reused or on a base
  • Include supporting phonies, buddies or items, should you want to use them

All brine eggs hatched during this event will also have a chance to spawn with the following mutations as well: Exoskeleton (Eo), Fur (Fr), Gulper Mouth (gu), Lure (lu) and Ghost (gh). This year, some phonies will hatch with combo traits as well, those being: Feathers (Fr + Sk), Wings (Fr + Sk + dl), Bat Wings (Rw + Sk + dl), Jointed Body (Eo + Rw) and Mandibles (Eo + dh).


Biome Info - Briny Woods

The Briny Woods biome is pretty straightforward-- The woods have been covered in the brine matting!

  • Lots of trees
  • Entire ground is covered in the same red fuzz that covers the brine (you can have this extend up the trees too if you want. Get creative!)
  • You may use the taiga, woodland or rainforest biome as a "base" to have covered in brine. This won't affect your loot or NPCs you encounter.
  • Ice rings can be anywhere in the sky, if they're visible depending on the setting and camera angles you use
