As the temperature drops, the woodland trees get fuzzier and fuzzier until you end up in a strange fluffy winter wonderland, filled with furry blue trees. The taiga is quite similar to the woodlands, being populated mostly by trees and having soil rich in reddish brown minerals. A lot of smoke and ash from the volcanic tundras tend to blow in here too, enriching the soil and allowing trees to grow huge.

When depicting this biome in art, keep these components in mind:

• Very cold, often snowy
• Tall trees with very thin, almost fluffy looking leaves
• Rings closer to the horizon
