The Grasslands

This page is all about the grasslands, one of the most expansive and iconic terrestrial biomes on Confibula.

The grasslands on Confibula are populated by sessile grasslike organisms who communicate through touch and change color whenever they send a message to their neighbors. So, the hills are always flashing from lime to cyan as the wind forces them to touch blades and they silently discuss matters like the weather or nutrients.

Enormous triangular filter feeders called Tents live on the plains, harvesting enormous clouds of aeroplankton and dotting the landscape like buildings.

When depicting this biome in art, keep these components in mind:

• Multicolored, lime to cyan "grass"
• Many tents in the distance
• Very hilly, no tall plants in sight
• Chalky soil whenever exposed
